On June 28th, 2013, I woke up knowing I needed to make a change in my life so I started running a hodge podge version of the Couch to 5k program with my two dogs, Kouki and Roxi.  Within 3 weeks of starting this program, I ran (well mostly walked) my first 5k which was for Design a Wish which supports Make a Wish.  Since that first day, I have lost 30 pounds and over 30 inches off my body but there is still more to do.

July 19th, 2014, I ran the Design a Wish 5k again and knocked 13 minutes off my time from the year before.  Now, I want to take my fitness and weight loss journey to the next level and in order to make myself more accountable I wanted to start a new blog in which I log my adventures in training for a half marathon and incorporate better eating and lifestyle habits into my every day adventures.
